What is RTC Fusion? Is that one of those acronym things?
RTC Fusion Productions is the name of the group that produces videos of The Sonic Tales as well as other videos. The acronym "RTC" comes from the first letters of the founders' names.

What names are those?
Names that start with R, T, and C.

Well, yeah, I know that, but--
Do you have any more questions?

Um... yeah. What exactly is The Sonic Tales?
The Sonic Tales is an ongoing comedy machinima series that follows the adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles "Tails" Prower as they battle the evil Dr. Eggman and the freelance Knuckles the Echidna.

Whoa, what is a machinima?
A machinima is basically a newer genre of filmmaking where people use video games as pre-rendered CGI elements in their movies.

That sounds cool. How do you make The Sonic Tales?
First we write some scripts, then record our voices with an Audio-Technica microphone, and then we use the Sega Genesis emulator called Kega Fusion and the PC recording software Fraps to act out the scenes in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (attached to Sonic and Knuckles when necessary). After that, we use Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 (hooray for educational discount!) to edit and render the final product.

Speaking of which, are you ever going to use any Sonic game other than boring old Sonic 3?
Okay, firstly, Sonic 3 is a classic, and there's nothing wrong with it. Secondly, we're not really sure. At the moment, we're happy with just using Sonic 3.

Making these sounds like fun. Can I help?
At the moment we have all the people we need. If we ever need any extra hands, we'll make a post on the news page.

The Sonic Tales is pretty cool, but I really like Caddie's Sims 2 music videos! Will she make more?
No one really knows. Including her.

I think something is wrong with your database. Episode 4 was released in January of 2007, but Episode 5 was released in September of 2009.
With our busy lives, there's really no telling when we'll have time to produce another video. We ask that you just be patient, and check back every once in a while if you would like to.

So you're not actually really lazy, you just don't have a whole lot of time to do these things?
Thank you for being so understanding!

Actually, I was being sarcastic.
So was I.

... so, when are you releasing a new episode?
Eventually.

I'm a parent, and I'm not sure if your videos are okay for my children. What should I do?
Rest assured all videos on TheSonicTales.com are for all audiences, and contain no vulgar language, violence, or sexual themes. The worst you have to worry about is the occasional pun.

I really like your videos. Would you mind if I showed them somewhere?
In accordance with our Terms of Use, you aren't allowed to do anything with the videos except download them, watch them, and show them to your friends. Showing them publicly, for money or not, is strictly prohibited. Check out our Terms of Use (linked in the footer) for more information.

What about making a spin-off, like the Knuckles Tales?
Well, firstly, that pun doesn't make any sense, unlike The Sonic Tales. And secondly, that would qualify as a derivative work, and I believe it infringes RTC Fusion's copyright.

Yeah, cause we all know how much everyone values copyright.
...that's not the point.

Wait, isn't The Sonic Tales itself a derivative work since it uses Sega's game engine?
No one really knows. But, as clearly stated in the Terms of Use, credit is given where credit is due. In fact, I believe it's at the end of every video too. So I don't think we're infringing Sega's copyright.

Speaking of copyright infringement, what's up with SonicTales.com? Are they affiliated at all with you guys?
Not at all. Technically they're infringing our copyright, since they were founded in 2007 and we were founded in 2005, but we never registered a trademark or anything, so we probably wouldn't have any real legal precedence.

So, in other words, you just don't care enough to do anything about it?
Pretty much yeah. I'm relying on Google to point people in the direction they want to go. We're actually the number 1 result if you search "sonic the hedgehog machinima".

I really like your videos, and I would like to donate some money.
That's very kind of you. Believe it or not, it actually does cost a bit of money to run this site and produce the videos. If you would like to make a donation, click the "Donate to RTC Fusion" button found at the bottom of the Help & Information page. If you do, you'll be listed on a special sponsor page, and we may even have special priveleges or content for you ;-)

... did you just use a text-based smiley-face?
No. :-P

Speaking of which, do I have to do anything special to see your videos? Like pay money, or register, or something?
Nope - all of our videos are available completely free with no strings attached. Just go to the Videos page and watch them in our RTC Fusion theater, or download them to your computer, iPod, etc.

What if I have a question that's not answered here?
Just head over to our Contact Us page to.... well, contact us.

...are you mocking me?
I think we're done here.
